This post by an anthropogenic warming skeptic over at HuffPost contains a number of yowlers but this perhaps is my favorite:

Major solar minima (and maxima, such as the one during the second half of the 20th century) have also been shown to correlate with significant volcanic eruptions. These are likely the result of solar magnetic flux affecting geomagnetic flux, which affects the distribution of magma in Earth’s molten iron core and under its thin mantle.

Believe it or not, there is an entire online community of people that get together and hypothesize about the electrical or electromagnetic processes that they claim drive plate tectonics … these hypotheses often combine some form of expanding earth hypothesis and/or catastrophic plate tectonics. Oh, and there is the usual persecution-from-establishment and oh-look-at-how-out-of-the-box-and-revolutionary-I-am sentiment. Most of these people are a lethal combination of irrational and combative.

Until they actually test their ideas by collecting/compiling some actual data, it’s mere enterntainment for the rest of us.

Harold Ambler uses the veneer of scientific terminology as a “baffle them with bullshit” writing tool. Perhaps he believes his own B.S. His qualifications? His blog’s bio page offers, “I have been interested in weather since I was a very young boy. If computer science had been more fun for me I might have gone into meteorology, but instead I went into publishing and music. I have spent a good amount of time researching weather and climate.”

He’s a “writer-editor-musician” who lists one of his favorite movies as “What the Bleep…”, so he’s quite familiar with packaging nonsense with scientific-sounding trappings.

Check out this post for a thorough debunking of Ambler’s idiotic post.

Brian and BJ thanks for the comments. I stumbled across that greenfyre post earlier, and I encourage everyone to go read it. It’s a great reply, although really it barely scratches the surface in terms of the rampant misconceptions, distortions, lies etc. presented in Ambler piece.
